Multiple awards – sustainability with letter & seal

At Stücki Park, ecology is not just promised, but tested, measured and confirmed. Two prestigious certifications – SNBS 2.0 and BREEAM In-Use (existing buildings) – prove that our centre meets the highest sustainability standards. What does that mean for you in concrete terms? More comfort, a healthier indoor climate and responsible use of resources.

SNBS 2.0 – Swiss quality at all levels

SNBS (Swiss Sustainable Building Standard) takes a holistic view of buildings: the environment, society and the economy must be equally convincing. The award is presented by the Minergie Association in a complex, multi-stage process. All project participants are involved, including the property owner Swiss Prime Site. Even during the planning phase of the new buildings at Hochbergerstrasse 60 F-I, it was clear that we wanted to achieve this label.

Why SNBS 2.0 is important for you

  • Strict test criteria: 45 parameters in 12 categories – from energy efficiency to user comfort.
  • Swiss standard: perfectly adapted to legislation and standards in this country.
  • Long-term security: The audit after completion guarantees a building that remains sustainable in operation.

In short: you move around in rooms that save CO₂, are healthy and radiate quality.

The SNBS 2.0 certification at a glance

  • In principle, it encompasses all the elements that make a building a sustainable project by taking holistic account of the three key areas of economic, social and environmental aspects.

  • SNBS 2.0 is adapted to Swiss legislation and standards and was introduced by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) and the Swiss Sustainable Building Network (NNBS) as part of the Energy Strategy 2050.
  • It is synonymous with quality and includes very strict assessment criteria at every stage of the certification process.

  • Once the building has been completed, the final score is awarded following an external audit. The audit covers 45 parameters in 12 categories and assesses the final result with certification levels ranging from silver to platinum.

BREEAM In-Use – sustainability that never stands still

BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s leading certification system for property. Stücki Park bears the “In-Use” label.

Both existing and new buildings can be certified. BREEAM Existing Buildings assesses existing buildings and analyses their current operating phase in terms of sustainability, focusing primarily on ecological and social criteria. Based on the final assessment, conclusions can be drawn in order to improve the sustainability of the building in the long term. With the recertification, which takes place every three years, the building is reassessed each time. This allows improvement measures to be tracked precisely over time and ensures the sustainable development of the building. The certification sets the highest standards for the best possible sustainable operation and is also a tool for reducing operating costs and improving the working and living environment.

What BREEAM means for your everyday life

  • Continuous improvement: Every recertification shows where there is still potential – and we implement optimisations immediately.
  • Focus on the environment & social issues: from clean energy and alternative modes of transport to the well-being of all users.
  • Cost efficiency: Sustainable operation = lower ancillary costs, better indoor climate and more productivity.

BREEAM In-Use links its criteria directly to the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda:

The mission

The United Nations has set 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The goals are part of the global plan to combat poverty and protect our planet. These goals are to be implemented by all UN member states by 2030. BREEAM Bestand has included some of these goals in its catalogue of requirements and adapted them to buildings and their surroundings.

Your advantage: certainty instead of greenwashing

Two independent certificates ensure that sustainability at Stücki Park is not just marketing. You work, shop or relax in an environment that:

  • demonstrably conserves resources,
  • offers a healthy indoor climate and
  • is future-proof in operation and maintenance.

Conclusion: If you decide in favour of Stücki Park – as a visitor, tenant or partner – you are automatically making a contribution to a greener future. And that feels really good.
